The Black Mental Health Conference is the first of it’s kind to be hosted in Raleigh, NC!!! This conference is designed to EMPOWER, REPRESENT and INFORM Black mental health professionals across all disciplines. Social workers, behavioral health specialists, counselors, psychologist, managed care workers, life coaches, school counselors, marriage and family practitioners, community health workers and anyone who has an investment in the mental health of Black consumers are welcomed to attend.

The Black Mental Health Conference will focus on:

1. Professional development for Black mental health professionals.

2. Culturally responsive modalities, interventions and practices that support our work with Black consumers.

Culturally responsivity includes engaging in practices that guide mental health professionals toward fully seeing and valuing Black clients for all aspects of their identity, background, and experiences.

This year’s theme is BLACK EXCELLENCE. All workshops will maintain a strengths-based perspective that illuminate practices and modalities that build on strengths.

​

Each workshop is interactive and offers skills, techniques and frameworks that support the work we do with those we serve! Mental health professionals can gain up to 4.5 CEU’s and opportunities to network with other professionals who share their mission to offer culturally responsive practices.

In addition to gaining knowledge, practice and CEU’s, we invite each registrant to attend the BLACK EXCELLENCE NETWORKING EVENT that will immediately follow the conference sessions.
